FIVE top City bankers racked up a £43,000 bar bill in a matter of hours.
They bought 32 bottles of champagne – including three £1,900 magnums of Cristal Rose.
They also paid £3,000 for 16 bottles of Belvedere vodka and a £5,617 tip on one banker’s credit card in the early hours yesterday.
The “top customer” was given two complimentary weekend stays at Bovey Castle in Devon, with the use of a Spyker supercar because he bought two £9,000 Methuselah of Dom Perignon bubbly – each containing eight bottles.
A worker at Maya London club in Soho, central London, said: “You hear banks are having a hard time but this lot obviously aren’t. Maybe they are expecting huge bonuses.”
